Self Sufficiency Help

Rent is due on the first of each month. It is considered late after the fifth of each month.

If your income changes for any reason, report it immediately to the QHA office. There is a form to fill out so that your rent can be adjusted for the following month.

If your household size changes (new baby; family member moves out, etc) report it immediately to the QHA office. This may affect your rent amount and the size of your apartment.

If you have trouble paying your rent due to some hardship…

• call the QHA office immediately and talk to Lucy or Mr. Harper so we can be aware of the situation and avoid serving an eviction notice
• check with Susan Douglas, our Resident Coordinator, who can help you explore options for assistance
• keep in touch with the QHA office until the matter is resolved

The QHA staff is here to assist you in maintaining safe, affordable housing. We can only help those who communicate their needs and keep in touch with our office.
